2025 is a significant year for the Guild as we mark 100 years since the first formal meeting of a group of mace-bearers. Let’s all come together and celebrate the events that led to the creation of our amazing organisation!

The event will start with a buffet lunch at midday, followed by the Installation of the Prime Warden with photographs of everyone in uniform/ceremonial dress. This will be followed by the presentation of the new Guild Mace by a very special invited VIP (Ssh! Can’t say who yet!).

There will be a brief training session where silversmith Ged Collins talks about the creation of the new mace and demonstrates how to take it apart for cleaning and reassemble the pieces. This will be followed by a question and answer session for us to talk through some of those niggly “how do I...” questions for newer members.

In the evening there will be a Gala Dinner in the spectacular Museum Hall. Overnight accommodation will be available at the University for the night before/after as required.

Tickets for this glittering event including lunch and dinner (with wine) are priced at £120

ACCOMMODATION

Bed and Breakfast accommodation is available in the University Hall of Residence for the night before, or after, or both at just £65 per night however please note that this is single room accommodation only. Other hotel accommodation is available nearby including the Novotel Paddington Village 5 minutes walk away.
